So my youngest little guy Andrew turned 1 over the weekend and we threw him an Owl themed party! I have been obsessed with this theme since shortly after he was born! Nuts, I know but seriously?! Just look at how cute it all turned out!!!
The main table was decorated with branches, nests & bird houses I found at Michael's, acorns and lots of tulle!
We made these adorable owl pom poms using a tutorial I found at pizzazzerie.com.
Personalized banner area for my little birthday boy!
The dessert table which included cupakes, pretzel "branches", owl smores, marshamllow treats, birds nests made with chow mein noddles, chocolate and jelly beans and acorns made from nutter butters and hershey's kisses! These were a huge hit By the way!
Yummy Yummy birds nests! I designed all the food labels and will be selling them at my etsy shop soon!
Andrew in the adorable shirt my mom made him!
I found the directions for this cake on familyfun.go.com!
I wanted to display pictures from Andrew's first year in a unique and pretty way so I made this banner out of shredded fabric pieces and yarn! It came out even more beautiful than i had imagined!
I made these treat bags out of ordinary brown lunch bags and card stock. They matched the plates I bought from celebrateexpress.com!!!
My hubby hand piped Anderw's smash cake
Presents!
I made this little owl out of styrafoam and felt! The instructions can be found here: http://factorydirectcraft.com/factorydirectcraft_blog/hoot-felt-owls-styrofoam-balls/ The A was made of twigs and embroidery floss. I had a picture of Andrew in his Halloween costume out back in a pile of leaves. Yes, I was sooooo obsessed I made him that costume back in October especially with this party in mind!!! ;)Whooo goes there? Owl masks made from cardstock and mounted to scewers. The big bros looked adorable!
The thank yous!
